Links with the Community

At Worthing High School we believe that involvement through community awareness and participation in community activities can make an important contribution to the development of young people.  We wish to encourage our students to be caring and responsible citizens in the future so that they may understand the problems of others, value other peoples talents, contributions and concerns and play a full part in the school, local, national and world communities.  We also believe that links with the business community will help raise student achievement and aspirations and provide important employability skills.

Worthing High School has a very significant role to play in promoting the importance of cultural awareness and understanding as a focus of our community plans. We already have links with France, Spain and China which have resulted in visits, and plan to increase our contacts abroad ...

Working with the Business Community

Over recent years Worthing High School has developed extensive business links in the community to enhance the curriculum opportunities for the benefit of students. The school has received national recognition for its business links achieving Investors in Careers status on three separate occasions, and Sussex Education Business Alliance awards for Business and Enterprise and Work Related Learning.
